  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 Clove Garlic Minced
  • 1 Shallot Sliced
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 4 Pounds Mussels cleaned
  • 1 ½ Cups Dry White wine
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • Parsley


  • In a large dutch oven, add olive oil and heat on medium-high. Add garlic and shallot. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes or until softened.
  • Add the mussels and white wine. Cover and let steam for 3 minutes. Gently stir the mussels, pushing any unopened ones to the bottom. Return lid and steam for 2 more minutes.
  • Remove the mussels and place in serving container. Add butter and parsley to the broth and stir in butter until it melts. Spoon broth over the mussels. Serve with bread and enjoy!
