Hamburger Steak with Onion Gravy
It's more than just a burger, this recipe for Hamburger Steak with Onion Gravy is definitely a classic for a reason
Cast Iron Skillet
- 1 Pound Ground Beef
- ¼ Cup Bread Crumbs
- 2 Tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 1 Egg
- 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 Onion Sliced
- 2 Tbsp Flour
- 2 Cups Beef Broth
In a large bowl combine ground beef, bread crumbs, worcestershire sauce, egg and garlic powder. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Divide meat mixture into 4 and shape into hamburger patties.
Heat a large skillet on medium high. Add olive oil, then patties. Cook for several minutes per side, until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Add onions into the pan and cook until translucent.
Stir in flour until it is fully incorporated. Add beef broth and bring to a simmer. Cook until thickened sauce can coat the back of a spoon. Season to taste with salt and pepper
Serve patties topped with onion gravy with the side of your choice. Enjoy!
