  • 2 Steaks
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 2 Cups Cremini Mushrooms Sliced
  • 2 Shallots Sliced
  • 4 Cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1/2 Cup Brandy
  • 1/2 Cup Red Wine
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire
  • 1/2 Cup Beef Stock

  1. Let steaks come to room temp. Season generously with salt and pepper.

  2. Add 2 tbsp of olive oil to a cast iron skillet at medium-high heat. Add steaks to pan and cook 3-4 minutes per side or until seared well on each side. Remove steaks from pan and reduce heat to medium.

  3. Add in butter, mushrooms, shallot and garlic. Cook until lightly browned and softened.

  4. Add in brandy, red wine, mustard, worcestershire and stock. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes or until reduced slightly and alcohol has cooked off. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

  5. Serve steaks with sauce and mushrooms on top. Enjoy!
