Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 1 Pound Ground Beef
  • 1 Pound Ground Pork
  • 1/2 Cup Parsley Minced
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1/2 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 3/4 Cup Onion Minced
  • 4 Cloves Garlic
  • 3/4 Cup Panko Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Gravy

  • 1/2 Cup Butter
  • 1/2 Cup Flour
  • 4 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Allspice
  • 1/4 Tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl and mix until fully incorporated.

  2. Using a spoon, portion and form meatballs. Each meatball should be about 1 inch in diameter.

  3. Heat a nonstick skillet or cast iron on medium-high heat. Add 2 tbsp of vegetable oil and cook meatballs in batches. Rotate meatballs and cook until all sides are evenly browned. Remove from pan.

  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add flour to pan and add butter if there's not enough oil from the drippings. Cook for a few minutes so that flour is no longer raw.

  5. Whisk in beef broth and add seasonings. Slowly mix in the heavy cream, then season to taste with salt and pepper.

  6. Bring gravy to a simmer and cook until thickened.

  7. Serve meatballs with mashed potatoes or egg noodles and top with gravy. Enjoy!
