Grape Jelly Meatballs

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

There are few appetizers that I crave if I'm tailgating or watching a game, but Grape Jelly Meatballs are one of those. They are delicious, but also so easy to make. These can be made in as little as 20 minutes on the stovetop or dumped into a slow cooker for a hands off recipe. Either method will result in a crowd favorite appetizer that will be the hit of the party.

Ways to prepare Grape Jelly Meatballs

There are two main methods to prepare grape jelly meatballs: Cooked on the stovetop or in the slow cooker. For the stovetop, place all ingredients in a large pan on medium heat. Bring sauce to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. If using a slow cooker, dump all ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4 hours.

What type of meatballs to use

To make this recipe easy, I use frozen meatballs. I use the mini meatballs that are often found in the freezer section, however most frozen meatball varieties will work. The only variety I would not use are Italian meatballs both due to their size and the strong flavor.

How to serve the meatballs

These meatballs may honestly be best served as is, on a toothpick. However if you want to round out this recipe, serving them with rolls or rice. I even make mini meatball subs with them at parties and drizzle extra sauce on top.
